Have no fear!!!
By M. H. Tritter
My HP Color Laserjet CP1518NI finally ran out of the ink that it came with – the colors all went empty at about the same time. I was devastated to discover that the OEM ink was $256. This ink was $89.21; about 1/3 the price. But, would it be the equivalent? I looked and looked at all my options, read reviews, and finally decided to take a chance. Before I took out the original ink, I ran a demo page (with the rich, vibrant sample images) and labeled it. Then, I changed the ink, ran it for about a week, and then ran a new demo page. IDENTICAL! My wife is an artist (an honest-to-goodness artist who was hired by Walt Disney Company to paint color-boards and who teaches art in public schools) and she agrees the printouts are equivalent. Actually, though they are essentially the same, there is some slight tinting difference, and my wife says this ink produces a more realistic skin tone. I have added scanned images to demonstrate; make sure you click on it for the blow-up and additional notes.
Bottom line: Have no fear – buy this ink!

Messy, printing takes time to settle down
By John L. Miller
NOTE: updated after using the cartridges to print out a bunch more stuff.
Upside: Cheap
Downside: messy to install. Print quality is initially poor, but improves over time to be indistinguishable from OEM cartridges.
These cartridges are CHEAP. I got the set of four for slightly more than a single HP OEM cartridge costs. I’ve seen poor review for other refill cartridges, but these had high reviews, so I gave it a shot.
The four cartridges showed up well packaged, which was an encouraging start. Each cartridge included both the bubble wrapper and a sealed plastic cover. Inside they looked like standard cartridges, (except color was misspelled corlor).
Preparing the cartridge for install was harder than with OEM cartridges. Pulling the plastic strip out to unseal the toner was especially hard, I was afraid I was going to break the cartridge. When I got it out, toner came out with it, splashing about a square foot of my desk with toner. Not a lot, fortunately, but enough that it had to be cleaned, and I also had to dust off the cartridge.
After putting in the cartridge, I had to reboot the printer and then I was able to print. However, it looks like the printing isn’t exactly the same as with OEM cartridges. I didn’t have any problems with streaking, but the yellow (the cartridge i replaced) was misaligned.
This got better over time: a few days later (after maybe 50-100 pages printed)I printed the same full-page picture. This time no yellow misalignment, it looks just as good as the original toner.
I’ve replaced two of four cartridges so far, and printed hundreds of pages. After a few dozen pages, the printouts look as good as the OEM-based ones.

No issues.
By Tahoe
They work. No lines. No issues. I would buy them again. I was concerned with purchasing remanufactured cartridges but there has been no difference.
